The Crossroads of Should and Must
This week, by coincidence I came across the book by Elle Luna titled "The Crossroads of Should and Must, Find and Follow your Passion". I believe I found the book and the book found me. Recently I've had some internal dialogue, and I have been asking myself exactly the same questions the book addresses. How can I choose my must? What it takes to change course and not to choose what should be over and over, to shift my thinking and beliefs about the value of all the shoulds, obligations etc., instead to simply start giving my self permission, to listen and trust more that part of my being that is not attached to should.
The book is a gift and a pleasure to read, so is the author Elle Luna to listen her speak; a wise, very intuitive, interesting, original and artistic woman. The main idea in the book it, in author's own words is: The Crossroads of Should and Must, for everyone who's chosen Should for far too long - months, years, maybe a lifetime - and feels like it's about time they give Must a shot.
I made a choice three days ago to start getting a taste of Must. What does the day, the week, month look and feel like if I keep doing more of me, following the sparkles, that impossible idea, or that fun little thing that brings joy in this very moment? But how do I do that? For now, by staring writing here my thoughts, one day at a time, in my own flow, a kind of a open little diary with the world, my intimate reflections about things in life that touch and leave impressions on me. Why should I do it? Because I like to write, because I'd like to share my voice, and because I'd like to start this experiment and to see where it will take me.
Yes Elle, it's now time to give Must a shot! :)
