Second chances: One thing, Everything

I had a beautiful time today connecting virtually with family and relatives whom I love dearly but that with some hadn't talked in a long time. We all live in different parts of the world have our own lives, jobs and contribute to this reality each in our own unique ways. Despite our different geographic locations, we all shared today the same common reality of the pandemic risks, lockdowns and changed reality we are in now.

I felt incredibly close to everyone I talked today, not only because we are family and blood related but inevitably because of what we are all going through together, in separation these days. 

We obviously talked a lot about the current events, laughed, joked about each other, brought back fun family memories, made hopeful plans of getting together soon, then back to current events conversations and so on. 

This remote gathering with my family members today resembled me like a global family. We all, in a way or another across countries and continents, share the same hopes, desires, needs, fears, wishes, visions and even wild dreams. 

In my last post, I kept asking myself the questions that are most pertinent to me now. In broad terms, my personal belief is that the unprecedented risky and uncertain times we are going through in our history now are rooted in the broken natural balance between our coexistence with the planet and the laws of nature. What is one thing or more than just one that I would change if I could, to restore that balance? 

The same answers come back always softly and persistently to me every time I ask this question. They are no revelation. Nothing is novel, all are words spoken, stories told, songs sung, even movements and revolutions started by many before. The difference is, today is different. Today it's the time, not tomorrow, not someday. Time to focus and take changing actions in what is ultimately relevant and vital.
If I could, I would restore balance with our lovely blue planet. To love and care for it like our own life and body, because it's that and more. I would restore balance with equality for all human beings. I would restore balance with our economical and political systems and make their main mission sacred. I would end the usage of natural resources for greedy and destructive ends. I would look at the education of future generations and making education the drive of the evolution of human consciousness. The list goes on... But if I would pick just one single thing, I'd ask for human consciousness conversion to a higher level, and for awakened souls to see with eyes of love vs. fear, life in harmony vs. survival, togetherness vs. separation.
This is my wish tonight and for the days to come.
